Window film is an excellent method to update your Salt Lake City home or company. It saves money on energy bills, makes rooms more pleasant, and decorative films may totally alter the look of your space. One of the most appealing features of window film is how simple it is to apply and remove. We get a lot of inquiries about how to remove their film. This may be done by home or business owners on their own. However, we strongly advise against it. For one thing, doing it yourself might result in damage to the window. Also, because most people will take longer to fully remove the film and/or they will often leave residue behind.

Professional Window Film Removal in Salt Lake City

Here is how we remove e window film without harming the glass. Window film is simple to remove, but it should be done by a professional for optimum results.

Step 1: Spraying the Film

The way we remove window film is determined by the kind of film and adhesive used. C-Bond2, a non-toxic adhesive, is applied to our films for added durability but is alos easy to remove with the right tools. As a result, when we remove window film, we generally utilize a non-toxic spray to dissolve the connection first.

Step 2: Scraping the film

This is the stage at which people attempting to remove their own window film will likely damage their windows. We use specialized scrapers to extract film and most of the adhesive residue at the same time using careful methods. These tools are designed for this purpose, therefore making the job for professionals easier.

Step 3: Cleaning Off Any Remaining Residue

We end by spraying the glass with water to remove any leftover residue. The glue softens after being sprayed with water, making it much easier to remove. We then scrape the adhesive off in an up and down motion using a razor blade. Someone unfamiliar with this procedure may scratch the glass or harm themselves while attempting to use razor blades on glass–so it is not recommended.
